ASRC Gulf States Constructors served as Prime Contractor during renovation of two Anchorage Police Department indoor shooting ranges. The work scope included demolition of the existing bullet traps; and lead bullet abatement in the ranges, mechanical room, ventilation system, and surrounding carpeted hallways.
The newly abated and cleaned shooting ranges were reinstalled with a state-of-the-art, rubber pellet type bullet trap system that eliminated fragmentation of the lead bullets when stopped to prevent lead particle contamination of the surrounding rooms and air.
This project was a competitively bid, firm fixed-price construction contract.
